This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the CHANDHA mobile application and our associated financial tools designed for festival management and donation tracking.
By downloading, installing, or using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
To provide a transparent and secure platform for festival committee management, we collect several categories of information:
- Account Data: Name, phone number, profile photo, and password credentials when registering as a committee member or volunteer.
- Transaction Records: Donor names, donation amounts, transaction dates, modes of payment (Cash, UPI Reference Number, or digital reference logs), and descriptions.
- Expense Evidence: Invoice images, receipt photos, descriptions, vendor details, and approval histories uploaded by committee members to substantiate expenses.
- Device Information: Device brand, operating system version, screen resolution, push notification tokens, and application crash log details to facilitate application maintenance.
3. How We Use Your Information
We process your data strictly to fulfill our core services and maintain platform trust:
- Platform Verification: Authenticating committee members and verifying access privileges to specific festival profiles.
- Transaction Ledger Management: Maintaining a chronological, immutable ledger of all donations and expenses for each registered festival.
- Transparency calculations: Computing the public transparency score of festival committees based on uploaded expense bills and approval statuses.
- Push Notifications: Sending updates on pending expense approvals, recent donation updates, and general committee activities.
- Troubleshooting: Monitoring application stability and resolving operational bugs.
4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
Your privacy is our priority. We do not sell or lease your personal data. Sharing only occurs under the following circumstances:
- Within the Committee: Transaction lists, donor receipts, and uploaded invoices are visible to authorized members of your respective festival committee to ensure audits and transparency.
- Cloud Service Providers: Secure database storage and hosting services provided by Firebase and AWS under confidentiality agreements.
- Legal Compliance: When required by law, regulation, or court order to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, developers, or public.
5. Data Deletion & Retention
We retain transaction data as long as the respective festival account remains active. Users can request the removal of their account or data:
Users may request full deletion of their account and associated personal data by navigating to the Profile Settings in the app and selecting "Request Account Deletion", or by directly emailing us at legal@chandhaapp.in. All personal profile links will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days of the request.
6. Security of Your Data
We use industry-standard encryption protocols (SSL/TLS) for data transfer, and secure encryption libraries for local storage of credentials (Expo Secure Store). However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
